Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu

Out on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu is one of the better dining experiences you can find.  Sitting directly on the beach, you are guaranteed a fantastic view as well as the best food.

When I dined at Mastro’s Ocean Club, my party was about an hour late.  I found that I didn’t mind a bit.  At the rear of the restaurant are benches directly above the beach.  To have some time to just relax, enjoy the sea breeze and get some “space” looking out over the sun setting on the Pacific Ocean was just what the doctor ordered.

Mastro’s is a steak and seafood house.  You will find a large selection of steaks, seafood, sushi, and specialty foods such as lobster mashed potatoes.  There is also a considerable selection of wines and liquors.

The menu is on the higher side, starting at about $50.00 but if you have out of town guests or clients you need to impress, a special occasion such as an anniversary, or you simply want to let the stress of the week roll out into the ocean while you eat, then Mastro’s is the go to place.
