At the western boundary of the artsy Silverlake neighborhood on Sunset Blvd is a trendy coffee shop (they call it a coffee roasting company) called Caffe Vita. If you like good coffee, we think you will want to check it out.
Don’t miss out. Sign up for our e-mail list and get a weekly digest of new posts.
Caffe Vita is rooted in Seattle where they have been roasting coffee since 1995. The have since expanded to nine locations in the Pacific Northwest and one in LA (lucky us) and NYC. Vita has remained an independent which is visible in the level of caring you find here.
They actually personally source the coffees, visiting the plantations prior to committing to working with the growers. You will find fascinating photos of the coffee plantations and production process on their blog.
As they state on their website: “We are pioneers of the Farm Direct movement, meticulously sourcing the best coffee available while developing long-term, mutually fruitful relationships with coffee growers in more than 11 countries. We work with and invest in farmers who are committed to sustainable practices.”
This sets Caffe Vida apart. In a world where larger corporations seem to care only about profits at the expense of the environment and those who produce their products, Caffe Vida stands out. They care about coffee, the growers, the environment and the well being of those they work with. What this means for you is a cup of coffee that is unequaled elsewhere.
Here in LA, you will also be able to enjoy it in a cafe that is a beautiful balance of old exposed brick walls and exposed beams, floods of natural light, over the top artwork on the walls and modern fixtures.
You will want to check it out. Oh, and by the way, they are right to call it a coffee roasting company and not a coffee shop. They do their own roasting. Oh, and they have free WiFi for customers. Find them at:
