APA Off the Clock Photography Exhibit During MOPLA
Mark your calendars to see the APALA Off the Clock fine art photography exhibit during Month of Photography LA.
note: photos are from the OTC exhibit last year.
Presented by the Los Angeles Chapter of American Photographic Artists, it’s one of the finest annual fine art exhibits I’ve ever seen.
The exhibit is a curated collection of the work done by the world’s top professional photographers when they are “off the clock.” That is, it is their personal work and ironically it is the personal work of these photographers that lead art buyers to hire them for assignments. It provides real insight to the photographer’s artistic vision.
Each year photographers from around the world submit their best, most creative personal images to be curated by an industry luminary. Out of over thirteen-hundred submissions, our curator selects only one-hundred images for this inspiring exhibition. This year’s exhibit is curated by the very talented and esteemed curator, WM. Hunt.
Be sure while you are there to stop in at the MOPLA Group Photography Exhibit next door in the Arena 1 Gallery.
See the video below of the Off the Clock exhibit at the Santa Monica Art Studios last year. It was filmed after the opening night reception when the crowds were absent and the fine art photography could be seen.
Opening reception is Saturday April 13, 2019 from 7 – 10 pm. The exhibit will remain on display through May 11th.
