At this point I have been in Downtown Los Angeles about 2 weeks. I’m still trying to get the studio build out finished, but I wanted to open up the space to American Photographic Artists for the APA-LA Board Meeting.
I settled into a live work loft in Downtown LA (DTLA). Though my unit was suppose to come with parking in the building’s parking lot, they did not have a space available when I moved in.
It’s been about two years since I sold the house in Denver, packed up my things and moved to LA – for the third time. My friends thought I was crazy, that I was at an age where I should be securing my nest and that rents and the cost of living in Los Angeles were outrageous.
The area pictured in this photo is the Los Feliz neighborhood, which is actually one of the more desirable parts of Los Angeles, where it borders Thai Town and Little Armenia. The sidewalk here on Vermont near Franklin St has some of the coolest sidewalk cafes, movie theaters, shops, bookstores and street art you can imagine.
