Hollywood Tourist Attractions

When I first heard of the Escape Hotel, I thought it was an actual hotel… one with a rather morbid decor.I thought they had taken their decor to a very dark and sinister extreme in an effort to set a new trend.  But I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how anyone would want to stay there… no matter how “cool” it was.

Turns out that’s the whole point. You don’t want to stay there.  It isn’t a hotel you sleep in.  It’s a game and the game is to escape the suite you are in!

Got it now!

Escape rooms are actually a game, or an “escape game” that became popular about a decade ago.  It’s a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms.

The Escape Hotel on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is the worlds largest escape themed venue.  The ghostly hotel offers ten different rooms, or games, each a mystery to be solved.  In each room, you will travel in time and space and be the hero of your own story… if you get out.

Escape Hotel is located on the Walk of Fame and is the world’s largest multi-themed escape venue. Offering 10 different themed games, each room is a mystery to solve!  Choose between a Zombie laboratory, an abandoned hospital, a creepy Daycare, a bloody Slaughterhouse or Agent, Espionage, Circus, Witchcraft and Cocaine.

You will be checked in by ghostly front desk attendants and escorted to the room of your choice.  Regardless of your room choice, you might meet the “old guest” of the hotel who never got out.  Stuck here for eternity, he can easily disturb your stay.

And don’t worry.  No matter how spooky it might get or how difficult it is to escape, you aren’t likely to become the next “old guest.” I’m fairly certain your ghostly hosts will be coming by to collect more rent when your hour is up!  The Escape Hotel costs about $39.00 per person.  For more information visit the Escape Hotel website.
