Fashion Week Returns to LA
Los Angeles Fashion Week occurs twice each year and it is back again this September and October. Multiple show producers put on multi-designer runway shows. Traditionally LA Fashion Week is the third week of March and October but it has been spreading out over a broader period of time with more producers putting on fashion events. The main productions producing multi-brand runway shows are: LA Fashion Week (LAFW), Art Hearts Fashion, & Style Fashion Week. Metropolitan Fashion Week is another multi-brand runway show producer appearing on the scene in a big way.
Unfortunately, while all of the designers put on grand events, they all do a rather dismal job of providing the information you need to attend. Each lacks details as to where some of the shows are held and how to get tickets. We hope they will be updating their sites as the dates draw nearer and are providing you links to get more info.
Metropolitan Fashion Week Los Angeles
Metropolitan Fashion week kicks off again at the Original Farmers Market in Beverly Hills with its Fashion Week Costume Designers Competition on Thursday September 27, 2018 at 6:30 pm. It’s located at 6333 W 3rd Street.
The trolley tracks will transform into a fashion show runway, and the audience will picks the winning design!
This year’s designs will be inspired by King Tut. The Guardian, a 32 ft replica of the statue that guarded King Tut’s tomb, will serve as backdrop for the runway show.
The closing gala and fashion awards are on October 6, 2018 at 6:00 pm – 11:00 PM at the Los Angeles City Hall. 201 N Los Angeles St, Los Angeles, CA
Unfortunately, no information is provided on where the shows will be held between the Opening on the 27th and the end on Oct 6th. Visit the Metropolitan Fashion Week website for more info and ticket info as it becomes available.
Los Angeles Fashion Week

LAFW shows kick off October 6th and run nightly until the 10th and are featuring some of the hottest fashion designers. Sadly, while they put on great events, they don’t do such a great job of providing the information you need to get a ticket to the show! They list the address as 7080 Hollywood Blvd, but it is unclear if that is their corporate offices, or the location of the runway shows… or both. You can get more information on the LA Fashion Week website as it becomes available.
Art Hearts Fashion
Now in its 10th year, Art Hearts Fashion, Los Angeles Fashion Week is the premier place for designers to showcase their new styles. It is also one of the premier fashion week experiences in LA. It was founded in 2011 by philanthropist and designer Erik Rosete.
Guest at the Art Hearts Fashion show will be treated to different celebrity guests, art activations and sponsored goodies each night.
The 2018 Art Hearts Fashion runway show in Los Angeles kicks off October 11th and runs through October 14th. All shows are being held downtown at the Majestic Theatre at 650 Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014.
For a complete schedule of designers, visit the Art Hearts Fashion website.
