Huntington Beach Art-A-Faire

Being a site focused on fun things to do in Los Angeles we haven’t ventured down into Orange Country too much. However, we stumbled upon the coolest art fair in Huntington Beach so we thought we should tell you about it.

We also believe strongly in supporting artists, and small businesses.  Particularly in this day of corporate greed and excess.  So we’re going to talk up ways to support them any time we can!

Art Afaire, also called the Pier Plaza Art-A-Faire, is an art fair held each Friday on the Pier Plaza at Huntington Beach.  We were impressed by the quality of the art and the how friendly the vendors were.  Not to mention how beautiful it was with the artist’s tents perches overlooking the ocean and the Huntington Beach Pier.

Art-A-Faire began in 1995 in a vacant parking lot on Main Street and Olive.  The event continued to grow and was relocated a couple of times finally ending up on the Pier Plaza in 2000.  The art fair features about 60 vendors with original artwork and handmade crafts.

There is no admission fee.  It’s free, except of course the cost of thing art you can’t resist buying.  The address is 1 Main Street, Huntington Beach,CA.  It’s open from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  It may be closed during storms and conflicting holidays.  You can get more information at the Art-A-Faire website.
