Huntington Dog Beach

Truth is I don’t think anyone loves a beach more than man’s best friend. When I was watching them play in the surf at the Huntington Dog Beach, it was fascinating to see how much they loved challenging the surf.
The Huntington Dog Beach is a 1.5 mile stretch of beach a ways north of the Huntington Beach Pier. Its located between Goldenwest and Seaport streets on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Parking is $1.50 an hour. There are lots and some parking on the highway. There are public restrooms, a picnic area with tables and doggie waste bags.
First time visitors are advised to take it slow and see how your dog will react to the sand, surf and other people before letting him/her off the leash.
More photos after the break…
