LA Arts: Culver City ArtWalk Sat Oct 7th

This Saturday Oct. 7th from 2pm to 6pm ArtWalk 2017 is happening in Culver City presented by The Culver City Arts District (CCAD). The district features a unique collection of art galleries, creative businesses, specialty retail and restaurants.

The ArtWalk event will be centered on Washington Blvd. between Helms (at the Helms Bakery District Complex) and Fairfax Avenues and will celebrate the beginning of the fall art season with a free self-guided tour of art galleries exhibiting new, and distinguished artists, a pop up installation by Culver City’s Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (CCUSD AVPA), musical and dance performances throughout the day at various venues, interactive art experiences and special offerings at several area restaurants.

Parking is this area can be hard to find.  There is a parking structure at the Helms Bakery District, but I don’t know if parking for the art walk is being allowed or if it will be adequate.  Guests are encouraged to carpool, bike or take public transportation to the event.

Guests are advised to refrain from parking in the residential area surrounding the Culver City Art District and can take advantage of unlimited bus rides for $1 courtesy of Culver CityBus along the Art Walk route. Culver CityBus will provide service for Art Walk-ers along Washington and Culver Boulevards between Downtown Culver City and Fairfax Avenue for only $1 (One Dollar). Art Walk is serviced by Culver CityBus Line 1 and Line 4 which connects to the Metro Expo station at La Cienega and Culver City Stations. With frequent service and direct connection to the Expo line, it’s easy to enjoy Art Walk 2017.

The event is sponsored by the City of Culver City, The Culver City Chamber of Commerce, ArtScene, Fresh Paint, Helms Bakery District, Bar and Garden and Charlie Company. Event partners include the CCUSD AVPA.
