LA Attractions: The Getty Museum
One of the more interesting places to visit in Los Angeles is the J. Paul Getty Museum. There are always several top art collections on exhibit. Find out what on their website.
Even if you are not all that into art, you should add the museum to your bucket list. The grounds at The Getty are nothing short of spectacular. There are gardens, stairwells, areas where musicians perform, the book store and some of the most spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean to be found. Oh, and I forgot to mention, there is of course quit a bit of art on the grounds.
Admission to The Getty is free, but it does cost about $15.00 to park. Then there is a short ride on the tram to the grounds at the top.
As a note, there are two Getty Museums. The one referenced above and one inside the Getty Villa near Malibu. Both are utterly fabulous. I’ll fill you in on the villa soon!
I have a lot more photos of The Getty and the views from the grounds. I’ll try to post them for you soon.
