
LA Comedy Scene: The Laugh Factory
As the entertainment capitol of the world, Los Angeles is of course rich in comedy and the comedy clubs that have helped launch the careers of some of the world’s most famous comedians.
One of LA’s legendary comedy clubs is the Laugh Factory. It opened its Sunset Strip location in 1979 and later one in Long Beach. The club has been referred to as the number one comedy club in the county by major media.
The club was founded by Jamie Masada, an iconic name in the comedy scene that has been instrumental in launching the careers of of many of today’s most famous comics.

If you want to laugh for a LONG time, the Laugh Factory currently holds the Guinness World Record for Longest Continuous Stand Up Comedy Show featuring multiple comedians. The record was previously held by Comic Strip Live, who set the original record of 50 hours.
The Laugh Factory on Sunset Strip is located at 8001 Sunset Boulevard. Tickets for comedy shows are available at the Laugh Factory website or at the door. We recommend getting tickets in advance.
