LA Fashion Week Kick Off Tonight at Farmer’s Market
Los Angeles Fashion Week kicks off tonight at 6:30 PM at the Original Farmers Market on 3rd and Fairfax.
To give you a little bit of an idea of what it will be like, I superimposed some of my photos from the Art Hearts Fashion show during fashion week in March/April at the Beverly Hilton over some of my photos of the Original Farmer’s Market.
I’m not going to be trying to post news of every LA Fashion Week related event (see earlier post on the main Fashion Week Events), but the one at the Farmers Market is worth mention. The Farmer’s Market in LA has a long history of hosting high profile events and is a favorite destination of Hollywood celebrities, etc. (read our earlier article about the Original Farmer’s Market here.)
This week long fashion event beginning tonight is put on by Metropolitan Fashion Week and it runs through October 5, 2017. Tonight kicks off with the Opening Ceremony & Costume Contest at The Original Farmers Market (I believe this is the only night it will be at the Farmer’s Market). Designers will showcase costume and fashion creations inspired by Academy Award winner Costume Designer Collen Atwood. The audience will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite design. The top three winners will have the opportunity to participate in the 5thAnnual Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala & Fashion Awards.
Tickets are available at Eventbrite or the Metropolitan Fashion Week link above.
