night on broadway

With over 75,000 Angelenos about to hit the street in the historic Broadway Theatre District on January 27th for Night on Broadway, there will be confusion… whether or not you plan to attend.  Here is a guide to help make the blockbuster street festival as enjoyable as possible.

Note: Info below is for the 2018 Night on Broadway music festival. The 2019 Night on Broadway Music Festival has been cancelled.

Night on Broadway Street Closings:

Million dollar hotel
Historic Million Dollar Theatre in the historic Broadway Theatre District

Street closings will begin as early as 6:00 AM on the 26th.  By 7 PM all streets in the area will be closed.  The main closing is Broadway from south of Temple Street to North of 11th.  Any streets crossing Broadway in that section will also be closed by 7 PM.  While Hill and Spring Street will remain open, avoid them.

Parking: There are a number of parking lots in the area.  However, your best bet is to take Lyft or Uber.  It will be difficult to find parking. If you are coming from far away, you might want to drive to a lot close to the city and then take Lyft or Uber from that point.

There is also a Metro Rail Station on 9th and Broadway.  Take the Metro Red or Purple Line to Pershing Square Station. Roundtrip fare is $3.50 + $1 for a reusable TAP card, per person.

Family Activities:

There is a ferris wheel and arcade between 5th and 6th Streets.  The Kid Zone is on 4th Street and the Two Bit Circus is down by Olympic.
