What User Data We Collect:

Of itself, Totally-LA does not collect or store any personal information regarding our visitors unless you opt in to subscribe to our email list which we will discuss below.  However, third parties we are associated with in the operation of our website including Google Analytics, Google Adsense, Taboola, Amazon Associates, and Commission Junction may collect and track the following information via Cookies placed on your web browser.

• The type of device you are using (mobile, desktop, tablet) and your browser
• The websites you visited prior to arriving at Totally LA and after leaving Totally LA
• The time of your visit and your language preference

Social media provides tools that many of our visitors use and enjoy, and we include links to various social media platforms on our website. The privacy settings you have chosen on those sites will determine the degree to which your information is used, shared or made public.

Security of Information:

Totally LA is committed to securing your data and keeping it confidential.  We use an encrypted connection for your added security and we do not store any of your personal information on our own server.

Collection of email addresses:

Totally LA does collect your name and email address should you opt in to subscribe to our email list.  These are stored with Mail Chimp, not on our own servers.  Neither Totally  LA or Mail Chimp will sell your information to any third parties.  It is used only to send you periodic emails regarding things of your interest at Totally LA.  You can have this information removed at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button available at the bottom of each email we send.

Collection of Information Via Comment Forms:

The comments sections of our posts does collect that information which you choose to provide including a username or personal name and email address.  Your email address is not publicly visible and emails left in the comments section are not used by Totally-LA in any capacity at all.  Nor are they sold to or shared with any third parties.

How we respond to Do Not Track Signals:

Do not track signals are set at the level of the users browser.  Totally LA does not track its visitors over time and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track Signals one way or the other.  However some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities which is what allows them to tailor what they present to you.  Setting your browser to Do Not Track may or may not prevent their tracking your browsing depending on their own policies. If you are concerned about your activity on the web being tracked you can also disable tracking cookies in your browser as mentioned above.

If you are a California resident with an established business relationship with us you can request a notice of categories of personal information we have shared with third parties.  Totally-LA does not seek to attract minors as visitors, though visitors to our site may be under the age of 18. If you are a California resident under the age of 18, you can request that we remove any information that you have posted to our website.  However, please note that with the exception of possible information posted as a comment to an article on this site or a subscription to our email list, we do not collect your information.
