Original Muscle Beach in Santa Monica
Some confusion surrounds the world famous Muscle Beach in that there are two of them. One just beside the Santa Monica Pier and the other on the beach in Venice.
Muscle Beach Venice
Though Muscle Beach today generally refers to its location in Venice, the original Muscle Beach was located directly south of the Santa Monica Pier and it started the physical fitness movement back in 1934.
