The Beautiful Emptiness of Rodeo Drive Christmas 2020
Rodeo Drive always goes all out for Christmas in terms of lavish beautiful decorations. But this year the holiday decorations appear quite different.
Thanks to the new statewide Covid-19 quarantine that was enacted just after Thanksgiving, the Christmas lights and decorations on Rodeo Drive have no audience. The displays take on a beautiful sadness rather than a merry holiday cheer.
This is shown in the footage above. We see the stunning decorations, and the remarkable lack of people during the peak of the Christmas shopping season.
We find the origins of this shutdown in early November when testing for coronavirus was drastically ramped up. Free testing centers popped up all over the city right after the election. Of course this resulted in an increase in the number of positive test results which were then called “cases.”
The test used to determine if someone has been exposed to coronavirus is problematic. The CDC states on its website that anyone who has had any type of coronavirus in the past, or even the flu can test positive for Covid-19. Even Dr. Fauci has admitted this type of test should never be used because it is extremely prone to false positives. Medical experts have reported that 8 in 10 positive test results are false. The bottom line is that the vast majority of those who test positive for coronavirus will never get ill and they are not carriers of the virus.

To count positive test results as “cases” is a criminal misrepresentation of facts. And while California is screaming “surging” and “highest ever cases” it simply isn’t true. As the California Globe reported, the CDC stated that in the 7 days leading up to the December quarantine order, California ranked 48th in the percentage of Covid deaths per each 100,000 people. Yet California has declared an emergency and put the entire state under a draconian lockdown that is destroying businesses, putting millions out of work and on the streets
Based on the “staggering” number of new “cases” the Los Angeles County Public Health Director Dr Barbara Ferrer, ordered all restaurants to close except for take out and delivery on November 23rd. While indoor dining has never been restored since March, they were forced to close the outdoor dining areas as well.
The Beverly Hills City Council found there was actually no scientific information to suggest that outdoor dining spread the virus any more so than any other type of business and ruled that the sidewalk dining would remain open for Beverly Hills restaurants.
That was short lived. A few days later California Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statewide lockdown order that effectively shut down most businesses that required person to person contact and ordered all “non essential” Californians to stay at home.
Newsom side-stepped the pesky little court order that declared the shutdowns and other directives issued by Newsom in 2020 unconstitutional and stripped him of his “emergency powers” by passing down the lockdown mandate through his appointed Health and Human Services Secretary.
All considered, the timing of this lockdown at the start of the peak retail shopping season is more than a little suspicious! Likewise, residents are questioning the motivation behind other orders in Gavin Newsom’s California. An example is how convicted criminals are being released from prison, but honest business owners are being fined and arrested for trying to operate their businesses in a safe manner.
Whether or not this story has a sad or a happy ending is up to us. We can allow what has been happening in 2020 to continue its course, or we can change it. We can support local business instead of the massive e-commerce and box stores that have been allowed to remain open. Most local businesses still have curbside order pickup available. If not you can shop online through their websites. We want these businesses to still be here come the new year.
More important we can demand answers and accountability. What really is the “science” that has been used to justify the lockdowns? The truth is there actually isn’t any. In fact Dr Fauci said in February at the beginning of the outbreak that quarantines of this nature have never worked in controlling the spread of a virus and should not be used. Then he changed his mind. He has done a lot of that this year!
We can demand the censorship of voices that vary from the approved narrative end now, It’s not possible for us to make informed choices about our health or any other aspect of our lives when the only information we’re allowed to receive comes from those with a major financial stake in the outcome! We can still seek more accurate information by exploring sources beyond the mainstream media, and by actually checking the sources the mainstream media uses.
Finally, we can do everything possible to hold the people we elected to represent us and the people they have appointed accountable for their actions. The mandates they have passed down have destroyed our lives. Yet they never questioned the “science” that came down from only one source. They ignored the Great Barrington Declaration in which over 10,000 doctors stated that the lockdowns are completely unwarranted and are causing irreparable damage. This is unacceptable.
We can sign the petition to Recall Gavin Newsom. You can download it to sign at RecallGavin2020.com Removing Newsom from office will also serve as a wakeup call that reminds American politicians that they work for US.
A lot of people are going to have a difficult time having a Merry Christmas while their businesses are folding or they are out of work and facing eviction. But we can change things so that we do have a Happy New Year.
Let’s all do our part to make that happen.
