The Venice Electric Light Parade is one of the coolest things happening in Los Angeles.  Every Sunday at Sunset bicyclists around Venice gather at Windward Plaza on Venice Beach to parade up the boardwalk to Santa Monica and back with their bikes decorated in beautiful LED lights.

Be sure subscribe to our YouTube Channel so you never miss the Magic of LA.

It isn’t just the lights.  Many of the people are wearing colorful costumes and the bikes are decorated like floats in a parade.

What makes the Venice Electric Light Parade unique among parades is that it is completely grassroots.  It was organized by Marcus Gladney to promote  bicycle safety at night three years ago and has been growing in popularity ever since.  This video was shot during the third anniversary of the parade.

If you’re visiting Los Angeles make it a point to see the world famous Venice Electric Light Parade.  Just be on the Venice Beach Boardwalk Sunday at Sunset and join the fun.  It’s the Christmas parade that happens every week! Not only is this the coolest parade in Los Angeles, I promise that you will meet some great friends while you are there.

Special thanks to Marcus Gladney for creating this awesome parade, to Joey Clemons at Custom LED Bikes for his help in producing this work, and to Mark Stout Photography for the video production
