Venice Street Art Tour

A visit to Venice California wouldn’t be complete without taking the Venice Street Art Tour guided by Daniel Wood. So put it on your things to do in Los Angeles bucket list. Trust us on this one, there is no better way to experience Venice than by taking this tour!

Truth is, Angelenos will find the tour every bit as informative and eye opening as those that have come to sunny Southern California for a vacation. Los Angeles shows an appreciation for the arts like no other city in the world… and Venice raises the bar even more.

It’s difficult to find a wall in Venice that hasn’t become a canvas for one of the insanely talented artists that live in the community. While I’m constantly out on the streets in Venice writing for Totally LA, I never fully saw and appreciated the art as much as I did on this tour.

Transplanted from London to Venice, Daniel has been immersed in the world of art and street art for five years. He conducted street art tours in London and Berlin prior to arriving in Venice. Not only does he tell you about the art and the artists behind the work, he tells you the rich history of Venice with no filter and tells his audience the other great things to see while visiting Venice once they finish the tour.

It’s the artists that took Venice from being what was considered the “slum by the sea” to the exclusive world famous tourist attraction that it is today. This is also true in the downtown Los Angeles Arts District and in cities around the world. The artists came and made the communities desirable, then the developers followed. It has never happened the other way around.
